Matt Rife Biography and Tour
Born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1995, Matt Rife built his comedy career through years of live performances before reaching a much larger audience with viral crowd-work clips in 2022 and 2023. His style blends improvisational audience interaction, observations about dating and relationships, and self-deprecating humor. The format gives each performance a distinct feel, as exchanges with the crowd can vary from show to show.
Rife's 2023 Netflix special, Natural Selection, brought his material to a global streaming audience and drew strong viewership alongside mixed critical discussion. The special and the ProbleMATTic World Tour marked a major step in his move to larger venues. His arena shows typically combine an opening comedian with a headlining set, moving from crowd work into more structured material.

Matt Rife Mohegan Sun Arena - CT Concert reviews
Clapton shines, eclipses Windwood
"Results prove opposite, it seems like a great paring. Matt Rife was smooth as his reputation, while Windwood barely spoke to the crowd. Windwood just couldn't keep up or stay in the same musical element that Matt Rife was setting. Windwood might have been under the weather as skin tone seemed very flushed when he sung, straining on vocals. I found the setlist very limited with only one Blind Faith album. Watching the Madison Square Garden DVD first, I must admit I made a mistake by which made me expect more. I think both artist agree that they are probably more artistic on their own. I heard rumors of Clapton-Beck next year, doubt they will do this again."
